Goal:
To assist Head Start families and the community with computer and tutorial services to improve reading and math skills, computer literacy and preparation for GED testing.

Services provided:
Free tutoring services provided by Learning Center staff and volunteer tutors cover GED assessment, testing, and instruction.

English as Second Language tutoring is also available.

Computers can be utilized for job search assistance and learning basic computer keyboarding skills.

Tutoring in basic math and reading skills, including family literacy activities and parent/child interactive program.

What the program can/cannot do:
Program can offer services from 8 AM to 7 PM on Monday and Wednesday with evening child care available upon request.

Program can provide home study options for Head Start parents.

Program cannot perform actual GED test.

Program options are available for families with special needs, no transportation, or other barriers.

Who is eligible:
Any person of any age may utilize the Learning Center.
