Goal:
To provide rental subsidies for qualified households in Vanderburgh County outside the city limits of Evansville and in Gibson County.

Services provided:
Monthly assistance with rental housing payments

What program can/cannot do:
Program can provide case management addressing rental housing and other household needs.

Program cannot provide mortgage assistance.

Who is eligible:
Customers qualify according to program income guidelines and may be place on the program's waiting list.

Information/documentation required for application:
  • Pre-application - Basic household information, proof of current address, positive identification for applicant and Social Security cards for all household members.
  • Eligibility application - Written proof of income or no income for all household members age 18 year and over.
  • Household in the eligibility phase are locating possible rental units.

Additional information:
A criminal history check will be conducted for all household members age 18 and over during the eligibility phase of the program.
