The Community Action Program of Evansville and Vanderburgh County, Inc. (CAPE) is a private non-profit corporation which was established in 1965.
CAPE has rental apartments and houses in Vanderburgh, Warrick, and Gibson counties.
CAPE offers personalized housing counseling to help individuals overcome challenges and achieve lasting homeownership.

In 2023, CAPE served 15,576 individuals and families throughout our regional community. Key initiatives included Food Pantry, Head Start, Housing and Homeowner Education, Minority Health Services, Energy and Utility Assistance, and Home Weatherizaiton.
Helps insulate homes to lower heating and cooling bills. May be available to income eligible households.
Provides assistance with water bill payments, limited funding available.
